The title to The Atlantic Manor’s eighth release All the Best Girls Have Winter Hearts promises to be ‘Lo-fi and heartfelt’. The opening track is a nine-minute instrumental song, “Desperation”; the drab sounds of the piano lag on to cause the listener desperation for the track to end.  I hoped that this album would be a delightful morsel of melancholy pop but the music and lyrics quickly become stagnant. This is an EP intended to break your heart with no variety and vocals that drone on and on and on. – Julie Martin
