Thank you Monitor Records for sending me this lovely CD full of scary exploding guitars and Dave Grohl inspired vocals. Bring Back the Sound is a burning track of sensless lyrics and great angry sound that brings to mind Seattle when it wasn't worth so much money. The following tracks range from some barely listen-able noise, (Crash the High Octave) to catchy riffs (New Cross), to things that you may not understand unless you have had just enough hits off the bong (And Hell is Behind Me). There is a sillyness and DIY f**ck all spirit here that is reminiscent of the innocent days of grunge. Does that make for a brilliant record? Not necessarily, but it does make for a good time.
