Ciam

Anonymous is the first release by Ciam, a five-piece band based in London. To say the music is reminiscent of Radiohead would be an understatement, but the group describe their sound on their myspace page as alternative, emotronic and experimental. Mostly, they say they are striving to create a multi-sensory experience, so the album is only part of the total package; each track will have a short original film to accompany it. Playing live music doesn't scratch where these guys itch - they want their shows to encompass artistic installations and multi-media events. Anonymous could certainly carry a show of that sort. It's also good listen if you want to go to an introspective, coming-down-from-Ecstasy kind of place. The album production is of high quality, with dense layers of lectronica, viola and violin, guitar, drums and bass interacting to create a slick, modern, full sound.
