Blessed Be Our Ever After is the sophomore album by Sarasota's Burden Of A Day. Formed in '04, he band consists of five members. The songs are well-played and -produced, but unfortunately, originality is wanting, unless songs that sound like all the other songs on the radio punctuated by deep-throaty death metal-style screaming are something new. The songs are tight, though, even if they aren't very distinguishable from one to the next. Plus, men screaming Cookie Monster-style into a microphone always amuses me, and there is screamin' a-plenty. I suppose what I want from this band is to make a choice: Be scream-a-licious, or be pretty eyeliner-wearing pixie-rockers ... not both.
