Kanye Gets Rotoscoped In New Video
Ever since I watched the 1978 animated version of "Lord of the Rings" I loved rotoscope animation. Its the technique where the animators film a live action scene and trace over the film, giving the cartoon a surrealist effect.
The rotoscope work in Heavy Metal (the movie) make it stand out as an "adult" cartoon and Kanye West makes use of the effect in his new video for "Heartless" (below).
