Well, I've lived in Chicago a full month now.  4 weeks goes by pretty fast.  However, at the start of the third week I got the chance to start enjoying the Chicago music scene and see what it has to offer.  Let's start the show...

10/25 - Oh No! Oh My! is playing at the Empty Bottle

Got to the show after the first band had played, Oh No! Oh My! was up and tuning...party.  I don't really like to wait too much anymore, being an old shit and all...  I was very glad to catch these guys playing, they hail from Austin, TX.  Seems like Austin is just becoming great for delivering every kind of bad ass anything.. whatever, they rocked.. but it's always weird for me to see what the people in a band look like in person, I always kind of have an idea of what people look like before I actually see them, but then they don't look like I expect them to... it's weird...

10/26 - Minus The Bear @ The Metro

Stoked to see what The Metro is all about.... and stoked to see MTB, considering every attempt in the past led to not seeing them.. Thanks 230!  Minus The Bear killed it, they play so damn tight.. just like the record... They started off with Knights, great! There's a great video for that song too... Check it out on you tube.  So yeah, they rocked shit out... they play a lot of their parts using their hands on their guitar pedals... that's cool, I'm sure it's been done before and some of you are like.. whatever, so and such band did that in 1997.. shush... I thought it was rad...So, let's get to the Metro... The Metro is one of those places that almost every bigger band has probably played at.  I'ts a milestone for a lot of bands to get to play there. So it was pretty cool to finally check out a show here, great place to catch a show, great seating, viewing room, sound and lighting.  Superb!
