Introduction
There is sunshine coming though the thick glass of my apartment. I am sitting, staring and wondering where to start. I am now living in New York City, where it is very rare to have a sunny day of perfection, as I often did while living in Florida. I came to the sunshine state to get my life in order. I think that I did. I went to school and graduated with honors in Fashion Design... my true love.
Now, I am in NYC designing and doing-whatever-it-takes for Red Scooter and I occasionally DJ around town... I mostly play tunes people go stupid over. We all know that when we hear "It's Brittany, Bitch!" at a club, it's the signal that everyone in the room is about to get dirty with some white kid crunking. It's like the mort of fox-hunting. Anyway, kids from here are way too cool to dance, but there is a higher ratio of Floridians then any other kind... So, when you are here, find a bar where they have PBR on tap, get ready for a hardcore Floridian dance party.
I know that a lot of kids from Tampa talk about leaving. There seems to be so much comfort knowing that you can go to sink or swim at a bar that smells like piss and vomit. I hope through my blog, I can open up and share my experience. I will use this blog to introduce you to my life living here, meeting people, and sitting at bars that don't tickle your gag reflex. It will be a cool thing. (I hope.) Maybe if you don't move here... you could come for a visit.
