Phish has announced that they will play 3 shows at the legendary Hampton Coliseum in Hampton,VA March 6-8, 2009. These will be the first official Phish shows since the Coventry Festival in 2004. A limited number of tickets will be available through Phish's ticket system and then through Ticketmaster on Oct. 18.

That sounds pretty simple, but make no mistake... these will be the hardest concert tickets to get in 2009 unless Led Zeppelin plays Radio City Musc Hall. Capacity for the Hampton Coliseum is just under 14,000.

Once again, the rumors hit popular Phish site Phantasy Tour last night and several hotels in the Hampton area had already sold out by the time the official announcement was made on Phish's official website. I'm at the La Quinta, myself. The band will announce additional shows for 2009 in the near future, but for now, these are the only 3 shows that have been confirmed.
