Underrated New York dense-pop outfit Longwave is offering a new single, "Sirens in the Deep Sea," as a free download, both here and at their official website. I can remember the group absolutely smoking The Strokes at House of Blues back when The Strokes were something new and shiny, and "Sirens," while heavier than most of the stuff I've heard from the band, is an impressively impelling listen. They'll be releasing a new full-length before long, and doing a string of East Coast dates next month.
