It’s an independent music store, whose staff are, quite simply, real people. Got a question? These guys are in plain sight, and always ready to help you out. At Seminole Music & Sound, located on the corner of Seminole Blvd and Park Avenue in Seminole, FL, you’ll find prices and selections that some wouldn’t expect from a store that doesn’t hold one of those “corporate names”. And you want to know something else? They bring some pretty talented musicians down to Florida that anyone can come out to see. And most definitely…should.
On September 12th they hosted a free drum clinic with drummer Steve Ferrone, an incredible artist who has played with Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, The Who, Johnny Cash and Duran Duran. (Oh, really?!) The crowd laughed, as the humorous Brit told stories about different personalities he has met throughout his career. At the end of the clinic, people were still smiling after seeing this amazing drummer perform up close and personal, and then winning raffle prizes. One of which was a Gretsch snare drum from Steve’s signature series.
In the past year, Seminole Music & Sound has hosted song writing, guitar, and drum clinics and plans on doing more. In the line up: Dom Famularo, a world renowned drummer, Ray Luzier, drummer from Army of Anyone, and Michael Angelo Batio, columnist for Guitar World Magazine and inventor of the Double-Guitar.
So do yourself a favor, and check out their website. Bookmark it while you’re at it and mark your calendars for the next clinic on October 16th with Dom Famularo.
