If you’re looking for some infectious indie dance tunes to groove to on a Friday night, Pulp the Party at Czar might have exactly what you’ve been looking for. Featuring DJ Pauly Crush and numerous guest DJ’s, Pulp is never lacking in danceable tunes that may or may not cause your body to move in the awkward, vaguely sexual motions known as dancing. The atmosphere of Czar is a world in which dichotomy can be thrown around so liberally that all meaning might be lost. To begin with, there’s the name, Czar, a clever moniker for a Russian themed nightclub. However, with all the Soviet memorabilia lying around one might be more inclined to dub it Kremlin, but that might sound too ominous.
Upon entering Pulp, one might be drawn to the dim blue lights, chill environment, and cool mix of indie rock. But if sitting back and enjoying a few drinks in a booth isn’t your thing, then follow your ears to the pulsing bass of the red room next door. Complete with a tiger stripe floor pattern and stripper pole, the red room is a chaotic mess of loud dance mixes, free-drink horns and debauchery. Whether you’re bored of the same old dance nights, or just hunting for a new place to flaunt your righteous moves, look no further than Ybor’s only commie-themed dance club.
